Đúng là bây giờ thông tin liên lạc hiện đại nhưng không có nghĩa rằng việc viết thư không còn cần thiết. Bởi vì theo tôi biết thì những vùng sâu vùng xa và hải đảo của nước ta vẫn còn chưa hiện đại và chưa có những thông tin liên lạc hiện đại. Những vùng núi cao ở phía Bắc nước ta đời sống vẫn còn nghèo khổ họ vẫn chưa biết đến Internet và họ vẫn còn giữ thói quen viết thư cho nhau. Hoặc trong những trường hợp rất quan trọng chúng ta cần viết thư để tránh rò rỉ thông tin quan trọng. Việc viết thư ngày nay vẫn cần thiết và quan trọng không kém trong từng trường hợp.
