Những biến động bất thường trong lãi suất sẽ gây khó khăn cho các doanh nghiệp và cá nhân trong việc dự tính chi tiêu hay lập kế hoạch kinh doanh. Do đó ổn định lãi suất cũng là một mục tiêu quan trọng mà các ngân hàng Trung Ương hướng tới nhằm góp phần ổn định môi trường kinh tế vĩ mô
