1 Chính sách kích thích kinh tế của Mỹ: Gói lần 1 (2/2008): Nền kinh tế Mỹ từ cuối năm 2007 đã có những dấu hiệu của sự suy thoái, và theo dự báo rằng năm 2008 sẽ là một năm vô cùng khó khăn với Mỹ, và thực tế cho thấy rằng Mỹ đã lâm vào tình trạng khủng hoảng. Đầu năm 2008 chính phủ Bush đã tung ra gói kích cầu trị giá 152 tỷ USD. Nội dung gói kích cầu 1:  Hoàn thuế cho các cá nhân người nộp thuế ở mức thu nhập thấp.  Trợ cấp cho trẻ em dưới 17 tuổi, 300 USD/ trẻ em.  Ưu đãi về thuế đối với các doanh nghiệp.  Ưu đãi cho phép khấu hao nhanh đối với doanh nghiệp.  Hỗ trợ người gặp khó khăn trong cuộc khủng hoảng nợ dưới chuẩn. Gói lần 2 (2009): Mặc dù chưa chính thức nhậm chức nhưng Tổng thống Obama đã đưa ra đề xuất trong gói kich cầu của mình để giúp nền kinh tế Mỹ thoát khỏi khủng hoảng. Gói kích cầu trị giá 825 tỷ USD đã được Quốc hội Mỹ phê duyệt. Nội dung gói kích cầu 2:  Hỗ trợ các doanh nghiệp để tạo thêm 2,5 triệu công ăn việc làm thông qua một số biện pháp như cho các doanh nghiệp nợ thuế khoảng 3000 USD đối với mỗi lao động thuê mới; xóa bỏ thuế đối với lãi trên vốn cho các doanh nghiệp SME (Vừa và nhỏ).  Đầu tư vào công trình công cộng ( công nghệ cao, băng thông rộng, y tế, đường xá, các tiện ích công cộng…).  Hỗ trợ các gia đình khó khăn (giảm thuế cho các cá nhân và gia đình), nâng cao bảo hiểm thất nghiệp.  Hỗ trợ các chủ sở hữu nhà gặp khó khăn.  Quỹ dự trữ chống khủng hoảng tài chính
