Xác định đúng nhu cầu vốn lưu động cần thiết cho từng kỳ sản xuất kinh doanh nhằm huy động hợp lý các nguồn vốn bổ sung. Nếu tính toán không đúng nhu cầu vốn lưu động dẫn đến tình trạng thiếu vốn, công ty sẽ gặp khó khăn về khả năng thanh toán, sản xuất kinh doanh bị ngừng trệ hoặc là huy động thừa vốn sẽ lãng phí và làm chậm tốc độ luân chuyển vốn.
