Ngoài ra, khoa còn đảm nhận giảng dạy các học phần Toán học và Tin học cho các ngành đào tạo khác của Trường Đại học Đồng Tháp.
Tăng cường ứng dụng công nghệ thông tin trong dạy học: Xây dựng website quản
lý đồ án môn học để tạo môi trường tương tác trực tuyến giữa sinh viên và người
hướng dẫn, người quản lý; ứng dụng các phần mềm Toán học trong dạy học như:
Maple, Matlab,…, sử dụng phần mềm để mô tả các đối tượng Toán học phức tạp;
- Vận dụng phương pháp tích cực vào hoạt động giảng dạy. Tăng cường tính tự học, tự nghiên cứu của sinh viên. Cụ thể hóa nội dung bài học qua hệ thống câu hỏi và bài
tập chi tiết giúp sinh viên dễ dàng trong chuẩn bị bài và tự học;
- Tăng cường hoạt động tự học, tự nghiên cứu trong sinh viên; sinh viên được báo
cáo, thảo luận và trao đổi vấn đề, đặc biệt đối với các nội dung vận dụng vào việc
dạy học của sinh viên sau này.
- Tăng cường kiểm tra đánh giá và hướng dẫn sinh viên tự đánh giá lẫn nhau;
- Thực hiện các biện pháp tạo sự tự do trao đổi các kiến thức giữa sinh viên và giáo
viên để nâng cao khả năng tự học của các sinh viên;
- Dùng trang web cá nhân để trao đổi với sinh viên các lớp đang dạy: post tài liệu học
tập, giải đáp thắc mắc, hướng dẫn học tập, trao đổi giao lưu,…
- Tăng cường thực hành, ứng dụng kiến thức giảng dạy vào thực tế
