Theo tin từ Uỷ ban Kiểm tra Trung ương (UBKTTƯ), từ ngày 17 đến 21-10, ông Trần Quốc Vượng, Chủ nhiệm UBKTTƯ đã chủ trì kỳ họp phiên họp kỳ thứ VII của UBKTTƯ.

Tại kỳ họp này, UBKTTƯ đã xem xét, kết luận một số nội dung. Cụ thể là kiểm tra khi có dấu hiệu vi phạm và xem xét, xử lý kỷ luật Ban cán sự đảng Bộ Công thương nhiệm kỳ 2011-2016 và một số cá nhân. Theo đó, Ban cán sự đảng (BCSĐ) Bộ Công Thương nhiệm kỳ 2011-2016 đã có các vi phạm, khuyết điểm là không kịp thời sửa đổi, bổ sung và tổ chức thực hiện Quy chế làm việc của BCSĐ theo quy định của Bộ Chính trị; vi phạm nguyên tắc tập trung dân chủ trong tổ chức và hoạt động của BCSĐ.

Bên cạnh đó, BCSĐ Bộ Công Thương đã thiếu trách nhiệm, buông lỏng lãnh đạo, chỉ đạo, vi phạm các quy định của Đảng, nhà nước về công tác cán bộ.
