Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ đề nghị Mỹ: 'Nếu là đối tác, hãy làm điều cần thiết'
Tổng thống Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ hôm qua kêu gọi Mỹ tham gia trừng trị người ông cho là đứng đằng sau âm mưu đảo chính làm hơn 200 người chết.

"Tôi kêu gọi Mỹ và Tổng thống Barack Obama hoặc bắt giữ Fethullah Gulen hoặc trao trả ông ta về Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ", CNN dẫn lời Tổng thống Erdogan nói trước những người ủng hộ ở thành phố Istanbul. "Nếu chúng ta là đối tác chiến lược hay đối tác kiểu mẫu, hãy làm điều gì cần thiết".
Lời kêu gọi của ông Erdogan được đưa ra sau khi Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ phong toả không phận xung quanh căn cứ không quân Incirlik, nơi chính phủ của ông cho phép quân đội Mỹ sử dụng để thực hiện chiến dịch không kích Nhà nước Hồi giáo tự xưng ở Iraq và Syria. Chính phủ Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ cho rằng giáo sĩ Gulen, đang sống ở Mỹ, là người "đặt hàng" để các quân nhân trong nước thực hiện cuộc đảo chính hôm 15/7.
Cuộc đảo chính do một nhóm binh sĩ Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ tiến hành ở thủ đô Ankara và thành phố lớn nhất Istanbul nổ ra bất ngờ, nhưng thất bại cũng chóng vánh. Gulen nói rằng ông cũng giống nhiều người dân Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, đã trải qua nhiều cuộc đảo chính và cảm thấy "bị xúc phạm" khi bị cáo buộc có liên quan. Thủ lĩnh Gulen cho biết ông cầu nguyện cho người dân Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ và mong đợi đảo chính được dẹp yên.
