Được tiếp cận học tập và nghiên cứu dưới sự hướng dẫn của giảng viên H.Ruiz; Dr Nelida Cayas môn Thực hành công tác xã hội tại cộng đồng giúp tôi càng hài lòng hơn việc làm của mình thời gian qua; với tinh thần say mê và yêu thích gắn với công việc thường ngày mà tôi đang thực hiện đó là vai trò lãnh đạo quản lý chăm sóc, nuôi dưỡng bệnh nhân tâm thần, người khuyết tật và người lang thang tại Trung tâm xã hội tỉnh Bà rịa – Vũng Tàu đã giúp tôi rất thuận lợi trong việc lĩnh hội những kiến thức thực tiễn, mang tính chất khoa học hiện đại mà giảng viên H.Ruiz; Dr Nelida Cayas đã trang bị. Thú vị hơn là học viên đang theo học chuyên nghành công tác xã hội, tôi xác định đây là một môn học quan trọng giúp bản thân đánh giá được vị trí của cá nhân mình cùng một góc độ: Gia đình, cộng đồng và xã hội mà ở đó kết quả của việc làm đem lại rất bổ ích. Bởi lẽ đây là nhóm người yếu thế trong xã hội, họ bị bỏ rơi bởi sự kỳ thị của gia đình, dòng họ, cộng đồng hoặc do hoàn cảnh thiếu thốn về vật chất mà gia đình họ không thể đáp ứng được…. Là học viên và cũng là nhà quản lý công tác xã hội của Tỉnh đang được học tập, nghiên cứu nghề công tác xã hội, tôi luôn mong muốn mình sẽ trở thành một nhà quản lý chuyên nghiệp ở lĩnh vực này để giúp những người yếu thế đang được chăm sóc, nuôi dưỡng ở đây thoát ra sự kỳ thị của xã hội đem lại niềm tin ở họ bằng cách điều trị kết hợp lao động trị liệu tạo ra sản phẩm góp phần bé nhỏ phục vụ nhu cầu của xã hội; đó là những ngày mà họ gần gũi với sự quản lý của cá nhân tôi. Họ được tôi cùng đồng nghiệp ở đơn vị xem là thân chủ.
