A software helping to detect autism will be introduced in Vietnam Currently, autism is one of the concerns and worries of the whole society as the number of autistic children in Vietnam is on the increase at an alarming level. In Vietnam, although official figures about the rate of getting autism symptoms are not available, a report released by the Department of Psychiatry under the National Hospital of Pediatrics shows that the number of children who were diagnosed with autism in 2010 was 4 times higher than that in 2008 and it tends to be on the increase in the subsequent years. The A365 software will help parents and health workers detect developmental and autism spectrum disorders in the early stage through screening, and intervene early at home. The A365 software is expected to be introduced in Hanoi on October 11.
