- Nhận uỷ thác xuất nhập khẩu hoặc

- Nhận uỷ thác xuất nhập khẩu hoặc kinh doanh xuất nhập khẩu trực tiếp hàng hoá trên cơ sở giấy phép xuất nhập khẩu của Bộ Thương mại cấp cho Công ty.
- Tiến hành làm các dịch vụ giao nhận, vận chuyển hàng hoá xuất nhập khẩu hàng hoá quá cảnh, tạm nhập tái xuất qua lãnh thổ Việt nam và ngược lại bằng các phương tiện chuyên chở của các phương tiện khác.
- Thực hiện kinh doanh vận tải công cộng phù hợp với qui định hiện hành của nhà nước.
- Làm đại lý cho các hãng tàu, hãng vận tải nước ngoài và làm công tác phục vụ cho tàu biển của nước ngoài vào cảng Việt nam.
- Liên doanh, liên kết với các tổ chức kinh tế trong và ngoài nước trong các lĩnh vực giao nhận, vận chuyển, kho bãi, thuê tàu.
Nhiệm vụ chính:
Với các chức năng trên, Công ty phải thực hiện những nhiệm vụ chủ yếu sau:
- Xây dựng kế hoạch và tổ chức thực hiện các dịch vụ kinh doanh của Công ty theo qui chế hiện hành nhằm thực hiện mục đích và chức năng đã nêu của Công ty.
- Bảo đảm việc bảo toàn và bổ sung vốn trên cơ sở tự tạo nguồn vốn, bảo đảm trang trải về tài chính, sử dụng hợp lý, theo đúng chế độ, sử dụng có hiệu quả các nguồn vốn, làm trọn nghĩa vụ nộp ngân sách nhà nước.
- Mua sắm, xây dựng, bổ sung và thường xuyên cải tiến, hoàn thiện, nâng cấp các phương tiện vật chất kỹ thuật của Công ty.
- Thông qua các liên doanh, liên kết trong và ngoài nước để thực hiện việc giao nhận, chuyên trở hàng hoá bằng các phương tiện tiên tiến, hợp lý, an toàn trên các luồng, các tuyến vận tải, cải tiến việc chuyên trở, chuyển tải, lưu kho, lưu bãi, giao nhận hàng hoá và bảo đảm bảo quản hàng hoá an toàn trong phạm vi trách nhiệm của Công ty.
- Nghiên cứu tình hình thị trường dịch vụ giao nhận, kho vận, kiến nghị cải tiến biểu cước, giá cước của các tổ chức vận tải có liên quan theo quy chế hiện hành, để các biện pháp thích hợp để bảo đảm quyền lợi giữa các bên khi ký kết hợp đồng nhằm thu hút khách hàng đem công việc đến để nâng cao uy tín của Công ty trên thị trường trong nước và quốc tế.
- Thực hiện nghiêm chỉnh chế độ quản lý tài chính, tài sản, các chế độ chính sách cán bộ và quyền lợi của người lao động theo quy chế tự chủ, gắn việc trả công với hiệu quả lao động bằng hình thức lương khoán, chăm lo đời sống, đào tạo và bồi dưỡng nhằm nâng cao trình độ quản lý, nghiệp vụ chuyên môn, ngoại ngữ cho cán bộ công nhân viên Công ty để đáp ứng được yêu cầu, nhiệm vụ kinh doanh ngày càng cao.
- Tổ chức quản lý, chỉ đạo hoạt động kinh doanh của các đơn vị trực thuộc Công ty theo cơ chế hiện hành.
