Phương pháp dịch thuật

Phiên dịch đúng nghĩa là dịch ý. Eugene A. Nida, dịch giả đương đại Mỹ nói rất hay: “Translation means translating meaning” ( Dịch thuật nghĩa là chuyển ý). Phương pháp dịch bảo toàn hình thức ngôn ngữ của nguyên bản (từ ngữ, cấu trúc câu, biện pháp tu từ...), đồng thời bản dịch diễn đạt chính xác ý tưởng của nguyên bản, lối hành văn sáng sủa rõ ràng, phù hợp với văn phạm của ngôn ngữ đích, phương pháp dịch này gọi là dịch trực tiếp.
