Một nhà tuyển dụng không thể tuyển những người chỉ biết giao tiếp, làm việc nhóm, giỏi quan hệ.. mà không có hoặc không thể phát triển được các kỹ năng chuyên môn (kỹ thuật, tài chính, tổ chức, nhân sự, marketing…). Những kiến thức, kỹ năng chuyên môn đó, các bạn trẻ học được ở đâu? Xin trả lời là từ trường ĐH. Mục đích quan trọng của giáo dục đại học là cung cấp các kiến thức và kỹ năng nghề nghiệp nền tảng, khả năng tư duy và học hỏi để người tốt nghiệp có thể tiếp tục tự phát triển trong cuộc sống sau này. Có thể chương trình đại học quá tập trung vào những thứ này nên đã giảm nhẹ việc giúp sinh viên có các kỹ năng khác
