Đối với từng loại mặt cắt, Nhà thầu phải trình bày tính toán hai (02) thông số cơ bản của TBM:
(1) tốc độ xuyên (Penetration Rate:
PR) m/h; (2) vận tốc độ đào (Advance Rate:
AR) m/h.
Trình bày phương pháp phân tích hệ số sử dụng (Utilisation:
U) của TBM trong quá trình thi công và biện pháp nâng cao hệ số U để tăng vận tốc đào AR của TBM.

Nhà thầu phải trình bày phương pháp khảo sát điều kiện địa chất trước gương đào.
