Con người thời nay không còn nghe theo tiếng nói của sự thật, họ sợ sự thật, sợ nói thật, sợ sống thật. sống theo sự thật quả không dễ dàng gì, kẻ trung thực thường thua thiệt, lại bị coi là dại dột. Sự dối trá nhiều khi lại được coi là khôn ngoan. Người ta dối trá một cách trơn tru, không chút áy náy. Trước tình trạng đó, lời Chúa Giê-su vẫn luôn vang vọng: Ai thuộc về sự thật thì nghe tiếng tôi. Chúa Giê-su khẳng định rằng: Thầy là đường, là sự thật và là sự sống. Vậy là một người Ki tô hữu chúng ta cần phải đi con đường mà Chúa đã đi để làm chứng cho sự thật, đó là con đường của sự thật, hòa bình và công lý.
