4. Với LJ thầy yêu cầu chúng tôi viết bằng cả Tiếng Việt và Tiếng Anh. => phát triển kĩ năng viết phù hợp với khả năng của bản thân và phù hợp với ngữ cảnh.
5. Song song với việc ghi chép lại quá trình học tập, thầy còn yêu cầu mỗi sinh viên phải nêu ra được cách khắc phục những hạn chế hay những mặt còn yếu của bản thân.=> Bản thân mỗi sinh viên sẽ nhận ra được những mặt mạnh và yếu của bản thân.
 Từ hoạt động viết LJ, thầy đã tạo điều kiện cho sinh viên phát triển nhiều kĩ năng: kĩ năng viết và nhớ lại quá trình học tập, ứng dụng tin học trong học tập… Giúp SV phát huy được những mặt mạnh và khắc phục những mặt yếu về học tập ngôn ngữ.
