Khoa tổ chức tốt các hoạt động nghiên cứu khoa học cho cán bộ, giảng viên và sinh viên trong Khoa. Tổ chức nhiều hội thảo, hội nghị, các buổi tọa đàm trong nước và quốc tế, tạo một không gian nghiên cứu khoa học mở, môi trường khoa học dân chủ, hiệu quả cho cán bộ của Khoa được tự do thể hiện năng lực sáng tạo, được phát biểu, công bố các công trình nghiên cứu của mình. Nhiều đề tài NCKH của Khoa đã có nhiều đóng góp mới cho khoa học pháp lý, có giá trị trong việc giải quyết các hoạt động thực tiễn của xã hội, đặc biệt, có những đề tài mang tầm chiến lược quốc gia góp phần giải quyết các vấn đề kinh tế-xã hội của địa phương và cả nước như đề tài về quyền con người, về nhà nước pháp quyền, về cải cách bộ máy quyền lực nhà nước, về các lĩnh vực dân sự, kinh tế - lao động, pháp luật quốc tế.
