Phát biểu khai mạc Đối thoại Kinh tế và Chiến lược Mỹ - Trung lần thứ 6 ngày 9/7, Ngoại trưởng Mỹ John Kerry đã cảnh báo người đồng cấp Trung Quốc rằng việc tìm cách tạo ra một hiện trạng mới ở các biển Hoa Đông và Biển Đông, nơi Bắc Kinh có tranh chấp với các nước láng giềng, là điều “không thể chấp nhận”.
Ông hối thúc Trung Quốc sử dụng các cơ chế quốc tế để giải quyết những tuyên bố chủ quyền trái ngược nhau.
