Until 1930, the only way to reach this village is on mountain trails, through the dense forest-shelter of black bears. The main geographical location specifically it has helped people living tradition and Miyama the bold community values. Although today from Kyoto to Miyama only takes about 80 minutes to drive but modernity and tradition from the ancient community values still are kept intact.Myama is famous for the thatched House typically and are preserved as an important cultural heritage of Japan. More houses in the village are constructed from the period between the end of the Edo period (1603-1868). Walk around the village, visitors can enjoy the fresh air and the spectacular landscape of the mountain forest wallpaper under thatched roofs
