Trong phép thử u các tiêu chuẩn đánh giá như sau:
- u < 1.64 : kết quả trùng với giá trị của chuẩn.
- 1.95 > u > 1.64 : kết quả gần trùng với giá trị chuẩn nhưng cần phải có những thông tin khác để có thể khẳng định.
- 2.85 > u > 1.95 : không biết các kết quả có trùng với giá trị chuẩn hay không (không rõ ràng).
- 3.29 > u > 2.58 : kết quả hơi khác với giá trị chuẩn nhưng cần thêm thông tin để có thể kết luận.
- u > 3.29 : kết quả khác với giá trị chuẩn.
