- Gắn liền với quan hệ kinh tế Việt Nam-Trung Quốc, có các gói thầu EPC (các gói thầu xây lắp thực hiện theo phương thức chìa khoá trao tay), theo Hiệp hội nhà thầu xây dựng Việt Nam cho biết có tới 90% gói thầu EPC của Việt Nam rơi vào tay các nhà thầu Trung Quốc với các hệ quả: chậm tiến độ, công nghệ thiết bị lạc hậu, giá thành cao…, và Trung Quốc thông qua việc thực hiện các gói thầu này đã gia tăng xuất khẩu vào Việt Nam, kể cả lao động giản đơn. Đây là một trong những nguyên nhân làm cho nhập siêu gia tăng và gây bất ổn về kinh tế, an ninh, chính trị và trật tư xã hội thời gian qua, v.v…
