Theo thống kê của Cục Đầu tư nước ngoài, hiện nay Hàn Quốc là nhà đầu tư lớn nhất tại Việt Nam với 4.240 dự án cấp mới, tổng số vốn đầu tư đăng ký 37,84 tỷ USD. Chỉ tính riêng trong 2 tháng đầu năm 2015, các doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc đã đầu tư tại Việt Nam 50 dự án cấp mới và 19 dự án tăng vốn với tổng vốn đầu tư là 222,11 triệu USD.
Cùng với việc đẩy mạnh đầu tư và phát triển sản xuất, các doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc đã tích cực tham gia nhiều chương trình từ thiện xã hội trên địa bàn hoạt động, xem đó như một phần trách nhiệm của mình. Chúng tôi xin trích đăng loạt bài giới thiệu những doanh nghiệp Hàn Quốc tiêu biểu, không chỉ góp phần phát triển kinh tế Việt Nam mà còn đóng góp cho xã hội thông qua các hoạt động mang tính chất cộng đồng.
Bài 1: Hwaseung Vina và câu chuyện chiếc cần câu, con cá
Ngay từ những năm đầu đặt nhà máy tại Việt Nam, Hwaseung Vina đã tích cực tham gia các hoạt động xã hội từ thiện (CSR) tại địa phương. Công ty không chỉ hỗ trợ vật chất cho những hoàn cảnh gặp khó khăn mà còn hướng đến những giá trị mang tính lâu dài. Từ đó, giúp họ có thể tự mình vượt khó để xây dựng cuộc sống tốt đẹp hơn.
“Trao cần câu, không trao con cá”
Theo Tổng Giám đốc của Hwaseung Vina - ông Gie Yeong Lee, khi làm từ thiện, không nên chỉ trao con cá mà hãy trao cần câu và hướng dẫn người ta cách bắt cá như thế nào. Vì thế, bên cạnh việc trao tặng những phần quà thiết thực để giải quyết nhu cầu cấp bách cho những hoàn cảnh khó khăn, Hwaseung Vina còn hướng dẫn họ tự tạo nguồn thu. Định kỳ hàng tháng, những thành viên từ 25-35 tuổi của Hwaseung Vina dành ra một ngày để tham gia hỗ trợ Trung tâm Bảo trợ cô nhi Thiên Bình (nơi đây hiện đang chăm sóc 122 trẻ em mồ côi khuyết tật và 28 người già neo đơn). Theo đó, các tình nguyện viên của công ty sẽ làm các công việc như nấu cơm, vệ sinh phòng trẻ em, giặt quần áo, trò chuyện với người cao tuổi…, đồng thời quyên góp hỗ trợ gà vịt giống để trung tâm cải thiện thu nhập. Từ số gà vịt được hỗ trợ, sau một thời gian nuôi sẽ cung cấp một nguồn thịt và trứng để bán ra bên ngoài hoặc bán lại cho bếp ăn của Hwaseung Vina. Nhờ đó, họ có thêm nguồn thu đáng kể. Không những vậy, việc nuôi gà vịt còn mang lại niềm vui, dạy cho các em nơi đây biết yêu thương loài vật cũng như trân trọng sức lao động mình làm ra.
