Đây là một trong 4 tượng đài được xây dựng trên đất nước Lào nhằm tri ân các anh hùng liệt sỹ Việt Nam-Lào đã hy sinh trong những năm tháng đấu tranh giải phóng hai dân tộc.
Tham dự buổi lễ có Thượng tướng Nguyễn Thành Cung, Thứ trưởng Bộ Quốc phòng, Trưởng ban Công tác đặc biệt Chính phủ Việt Nam; Thượng tướng Chansamon Chanyalath, Thứ trưởng Bộ Quốc phòng Lào, Trưởng ban Công tác đặc biệt Chính phủ Lào; Đại sứ Việt Nam tại Lào Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Bí thư, tỉnh trưởng Champasac, ông Bounthong Divisay cùng đại diện nhiều Bộ, ban ngành, các đơn vị, cơ quan chức năng của Bộ Quốc phòng hai nước.

This is one of the four monuments built over the country of Laos in order to honor the fallen heroes of the Vietnam-Laos who died in the struggle to liberate the two peoples.Attending the ceremony are Deputy Into bows, Deputy Minister of Defense, head of Department of Special Affairs Government of Vietnam; Colonel General Chansamon Chanyalath, Lao Deputy Minister of Defense, head of a special task the Government of Laos; Vietnam Embassy in Laos Readers, Secretary, the head of Champasac, said Bounthong Divisay represents various ministries, departments, units, the competent authorities of the two countries.
