Bên cạnh đó, đại diện UBND thành phố Hạ Long cũng đề xuất hai bên nên có các cuộc trao đổi, giao lưu văn hóa và khảo sát tìm kiếm cơ hội, tìm hiểu sâu về các lĩnh vực hợp tác,... làm tiền đề cho việc kết nghĩa của hai thành phố Hạ Long và Unzen trong tương lai.
Đại diện Ban Xúc tiến và Hỗ trợ Đầu tư đã trao đổi và kì vọng vào việc bên Nhật Bản sẽ tiếp tục nghiên cứu, hỗ trợ cung cấp thông tin và thu hút thêm nhiều nhà đầu tư Nhật Bản đến làm việc, tìm hiểu cơ hội đầu tư ở Quảng Ninh và mong muốn trong tương lai gần sẽ có thêm nhiều cuộc trao đổi làm việc và qua lại giữa hai bên đề phục vụ cho mục tiêu xúc tiến đầu tư.
Cuối buổi họp, hai bên đã thống nhất Chương trình phối hợp năm 2016 về việc triển khai công tác quảng bá, xúc tiến đầu tư, thương mại và du lịch của tỉnh Quảng Ninh tại Nhật Bản.
