Việt Nam đã nhập khẩu 16,99 tỷ USD hàng hóa có xuất xứ từ các nước ASEAN, tăng 7,4% và chiếm 15,8% tổng kim ngạch nhập khẩu của Việt Nam từ thế giới.

Tăng trưởng nhập khẩu mạnh nhất là các nhóm hàng xăng dầu các loại, gỗ & sản phẩm gỗ, máy móc thiết bị dụng cụ & phụ tùng, sản phẩm khác từ dầu mỏ, chất dẻo nguyên liệu, hàng rau quả, kim loại thường, điện thoại các loại & linh kiện. Tuy nhiên, một số nhóm hàng lại giảm mạnh so với cùng kỳ như dầu thô, phân bón các loại, thức ăn gia súc & nguyên liệu, sữa & sản phẩm sữa.
