Năm 2010 Bộ Công thương và Ngân hàng Thế giới đã tiến hành cập nhật thêm số liệu quan trắc (đo gió ở 3 điểm) vào bản đồ tiềm năng gió ở độ cao 80m cho Việt Nam. Kết quả cho thấy tiềm năng năng lượng gió ở độ cao 80m so với bề mặt đất là trên 2.400MW (tốc độ gió trung bình năm trên 7m/s).

2010 industry and the World Bank have conducted more field monitoring data update (measuring wind at 3 points) on a map of wind potential at a height of 1.80 m for Vietnam. The results showed the potential of wind energy at a height of 1.80 m compared with the soil surface is over 2,400 MW (mean annual wind speeds over 7 m/s).
