Hội gò Đống Đa diễn ra hàng năm vào ngày mùng 5 tết Nguyên Đán tại gò Đống Đa, Phường Quang Trung, Quận Đống Đa, Hà Nội. Đây là lễ hội chiến thắng, được tổ chức để tưởng nhớ tới công tích lẫy lừng của vua Quang Trung - người anh hùng trong lịch sử chống giặc ngoại xâm của dân tộc.
Trong ngày hội có nhiều trò chơi vui khoẻ, thể hiện rõ tinh thần thượng võ. Trong đó, trò rước Rồng lửa Thăng Long là độc đáo nhất.
Cửa đình làng Khương Thượng từ tinh mơ đã mở rộng, khói hương lan toả. Trước đình treo một lá cờ lớn chào mừng ngày hội của cả làng.
Hơn 200 năm trước (1789), nơi đây là một chiến trường đẫm máu. Đêm mùng 4, rạng mùng 5 tết Kỷ Dậu (tức ngày 29, 30 tháng 2 năm 1789) đồn trại giặc ở Khương Thượng bị phá huỷ khiến tên Thái thú Điền Châu Sầm Nghi Đống phải thắt cổ tự tử tại đây. Gò Đống Đa đã trở thành một di tích lịch sử vẻ vang của nhân dân ta kể từ đó, đồng thời còn là một chứng tích về sự thất bại nhục nhã của kẻ thù phương Bắc xâm lược.
Vào buổi sáng ngày hội, các vị chức sắc và bô lão trong làng đã tề tựu đông đủ chuẩn bị cho cuộc đại lễ. Đến gần 12 giờ trưa, từ đình làng Khương Thượng đến gò Đống Đa, người ta tiến hành đám rước thần mừng chiến thắng. Đám rước dài, rực rỡ sắc màu trông rất đẹp mắt, diễu hành chậm rãi, trật tự để cho dân chúng có thể chiêm ngưỡng tỉ mỉ bức tượng hoành tráng của lễ hội.

Nhưng hấp dẫn và trẻ trung hơn cả là tốp đi sau cùng với "Con Rồng lửa". Từ sau ngày giải phóng thủ đô (10/10/1954), lễ hội gò Đống Đa được coi là ngày hội Đống Đa truyền thống, trở thành quốc lễ. Do đó, hàng năm, các vị lãnh đạo đại diện cho Đảng và Nhà nước ta đều tới dự và chủ trì mọi nghi thức của lễ hội. Quốc kỳ và cờ của ngày hội thi nhau bay phấp phới như chào đón du khách muôn phương.
