Thương hiệu bia quốc tế sản xuất ở Việt Nam tăng trưởng mạnh mẽ nhất phải kể đến 2 thương hiệu: Tiger, Heineken. Đặt chân đến Việt Nam vào năm 1993 thông qua hình thức liên doanh, công ty Nước giải khát Việt Nam (VBL) thuộc tập đoàn APB (Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd) đến từ Singapore liên doanh với Tổng công ty thương mại Sài Gòn (Satra) theo tỷ lệ 60:40. APB không ngừng bành trướng ở Việt Nam bằng việc đầu tư hàng trăm triệu đô, mua lại nhà máy bia Foster Tiền Giang và Foster Đà Nẵng vào tháng 9/2006. APB cũng đã thôn tính 2 đối tác khác trong liên doanh bia Hà Tây để đặt dấu chân của mình ra thị trường phía Bắc. Với Heineken là thương hiệu thống lĩnh phân khúc thị trường bia cao cấp và Tiger phát triển mạnh ở phân khúc trung cao. Với sản lượng từ 150 triệu lít năm tăng vọt lên đến 230 triệu lít trong năm 2006, APB Việt Nam đóng góp nguồn doanh thu và lợi nhuận đáng kể vào tập đoàn. APB đang ra sức bành trước và củng cố thế lực của mình tại Việt Nam.
