Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long: Khai thác thủy hải sản đạt 2.8 triệu tấn (08/10/2014)
Theo Ủy Ban chỉ đạo khu vực Tây Nam bộ, khai thác thủy sản của khu vực đồng bằng sông Mekong chín tháng đầu năm đạt 2,8 triệu tấn, trị giá 34,5 tỉ VND. Con số này tăng 140,000 tấn so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái. Trong đó 1,8 triệu tấn là khai thác từ nuôi trồng thủy sản, số còn lại từ các hoạt động đánh bắt. Tỉnh Kiên Giang và Cà Mau đạt mức sản lượng cao nhất, với tổng sản lượng là 830,000 tấn, chiếm gần 30% sản lượng của cả khu vực.
Sản lượng này đã mang lại nguồn nguyên liệu thôdồi dào cho ngành chế biến thủy hải sản, tăng giá trị xuất khẩu lên đên 3.4 tỉ đôla, tăng 19% so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái. Kết quả có được này là do các tỉnh trong khu vực tăng cường thêm đội tàu đánhbắt kết hợp với công nghệ và trang thiết bị đánh bắt hiện đại. Bên cạnh đó, diện tích nuôi trồng thủy sản cũng tăng đáng kể đến gần 800 ha. Các hoạt động quản lý nguồn nước, chế biến sau thu hoạch, các hoạt động xuất khẩu và các tiêu chuẩn an toàn thực phẩm và chất lượng sản phẩm được thực hiện nghiêm ngặt theo tiêu chuẩn quốc tế cũng góp phần mang lại kết quả khả quan này.

Tính đến cuối tháng 7 2014, Thái Lan đã vượt qua một số nước trong khu vực ASEAN để trở thành nước nhập khẩu cá tra lớn nhất của Việt Nam do nhu cầu tiêu thụ trong nước gia tăng. Theo số liệu của Tổng cục Hải quan, xuất khẩu cá tra đến Thái lan trong 7 tháng đầu năm 2014 đạt đến 27,98 triệu đô la, tăng 40% so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái. Mặc dù trong năm tháng đầu, những biến đổi về chính trị của Thái lan có ít nhiều ảnh hưởng đến tăng trưởng kinh tế, song lượng nhập khẩu cá tra vẫn tăng mạnh.
Theo thông tin từ Trung Tâm thương mại quốc tế, 7 tháng đầu năm, Thái Lan nhập khẩu 10.070 tấn fillê cá tra và cá tra đông lạnh, trong đó cá tra fillê được nhập khẩu từ Việt Nam, chiếm 99,8% tương đương 10.047 tấn, còn cá tra đông lạnh nhập khẩu từ Jordan.

Hội chợ Thương mại Nông nghiệp quốc tế sẽ tổ chức tại Hà nội (6/10/2014)

According to the General Administration of Customs, exports of fish to Thailand in the first 7 months of 2014 reached 27.98 million dollars, up 40% over the same period last year. Although in the first five months, the political change in Thailand have little more impact on economic growth, but catfish imports remains strong.
