Những quy định trong TPP, theo một số nguồn tin bị “rò rỉ” trong quá trình đàm phán thì là những tiêu chuẩn bảo hộ sở hữu trí tuệ khắt khe hơn, có tiêu chuẩn cao hơn so với Trips trong WTO và các cam kết khác của Việt Nam trong các hiệp định thương mại tự do song phương.
