Ngày nay,internet đang trở thành một công cụ hữu ích ko thể thiếu đối với tất cả mọi người. Bởi những lợi ích mà nó mang lại mà không ai có thể phủ nhận được .
Đầu tiên , ta phải nói đến việc tìm kiếm thông tin .Chúng ta có thể sử sụng internet để tìm kiếm thông tin ở mội lĩnh vực như văn hóa , đời sống, giáo dục ,...Và chỉ sau những thao tác đơn giản thì những gì mà ta đang tìm kiếm đã hiện ra trước mắt .Internet cũng là một công cụ giải trí hữu ích, nó giúp chúng ta có thể xem phim , nghe nhạc , chơi game,hay đọc truyện bất cứ lúc nào . Trong số đó phải kể đến việc giao tiếp với bạn bè. Nhờ Internet ,chúng ta có thể truy cập các mạng xã hội như Facebook, ZingMe, ..... để chia sẻ thông tin, hình ảnh hoặc trò chuyện với bạn bè mọi lúc, mọi nơi. Internet đã làm mọi khó khăn trở nên dễ dàng hơn. Bên cạnh đó, Internet cũng giúp ta có thể mua hàng trực tuyến, vì thế mà việc lãng phí thời gian đi khắp mọi nơi tìm kiếm cũng đã được giải quyết .Việc này thật tiện lợi đối với những người bận rộn không có nhiều thời gian rảnh. Hơn nữa mạng Internet cũng có thể được sử dụng như một công cụ để quảng bá , giúp cho việc kinh doanh trở nên thuận lợi hơn.Đặc biệt , Internet là một nguồn dự trữ thông tin khổng lồ mà không một học giả uyên bác nào hay một thư viện nào có thể sánh bằng.
Tuy nhiên , Internet cũng là con dao hai lưỡi. Thứ nhất ,internet có thể gây nghiện nếu chúng ta sử dụng không đúng cách .Có rất nhiều người bỏ ra hằng giờ liền, thậm cả ngày để lướt mạng đến nỗi quên cả giờ cơm, giờ ngủ và cả giờ làm việc nhà, việc công.Có không ít sinh viên, học sinh đã bỏ học hoặc bị đuổi học vì nghiện game.Internet khiến con người trở nên lười biếng , thờ ơ và ỷ lại nếu như t quá ỷ lại vào internet , coi internet là cả thế giới .Bên cạnh đó, trong internet có nhiều trang web đưa những tin tức, hình ảnh, video clip có những nội dung không tốt . Vì vậy, mọi người sử dụng Internet cần tiếp thu thông tin có chọn lọc và cảnh giác trước những thông tin xấu
