Trường được thành lập ngày 15 tháng

Trường được thành lập ngày 15 tháng 9 năm 1989 từ Trường Sơ cấp nghiệp vụ Du lịch và Khách sạn. Được Ủy ban nhân dân Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh nâng cấp thành trường Trung học Nghiệp vụ Du lịch & Khách sạn thuộc Tổng Công Ty Du Lịch Sài Gòn năm 1996. Năm 2009 trường được đổi tên thành Trường Trung cấp Du lịch và Khách sạn Saigontourist. Năm 2016 trường và khách sạn Đệ Nhất đã sát nhập thành một chuỗi trường học khách sạn.
Với đội ngũ giáo viên được đào tạo và bồi dưỡng tại các trường quốc tế chuyên ngành khách sạn & du lịch ... Hoàn thiện về kỹ năng chuyên môn sư phạm đạt trình độ về nghề nghiệp và kiến thức quản lý hiện đại như các trường tiên tiến trên thế giới. Cơ sở vật chất trang thiết bị hiện đại, đạt chuẩn quốc tế với sự tài trợ của chính phủ Luxembourg, Bỉ và Cộng đồng chung Châu Âu. Tại trường Trung cấp Du Lịch & Khách Sạn Saigontourist đào tạo bốn chuyên ngành chính là Quản lý nhà hàng, Quản lý khách sạn, Nghiệp vụ hướng dẫn và Kỹ thuật chế biến món ăn. Ngoài ra tại trường chúng tôi còn đào tạo các lớp ngắn hạn như Làm bánh, Pha chế thức uống và biểu diễn Bartender.
Tôi rất thích trường Saigontourist ngay từ lần đầu tiên khi tôi truy cập vào trang web của trường. Và từ khi ấy tôi đã thấy được sự chuyên nghiệp cũng như sự nhiệt tình của thầy cô và các bạn ở đây. Bạn sẽ không khỏi ấn tượng khi đến với ngôi trường này với cơ sở vật chất rất đầy đủ tiện nghi cho lớp học. Ở đây sinh viên hoàn toàn có thể có một không gian học hết sức là thoải mái. Ngoài ra tại Bộ môn Lễ tân tôi đang theo học, khu vực học được thiết kế như là một khách sạn với tiêu chuẩn 3 sao. Đến học với trường Saigontourist bạn sẽ biết được ngành du lịch thật sự rộng lớn như thế nào. Đã rất nhiều thế hệ sinh viên của trường Saigontourist họ không chỉ có việc làm ổn định ở những nhà hàng – khách sạn danh tiếng ở Việt Nam mà họ còn là thành viên của những tàu du lịch quốc tế hay họ còn công tác trên những vùng trời của những hãng hàng không danh tiếng.
