Thích thú với dịch vụ xe đạp công cộng tại Đài Loan

Mọi du khách khi ghé thăm thành phố Đài Bắc (Đài Loan) đều dễ dàng nhìn thấy trong dòng người đi bộ trên vỉa hè rộng rãi, thoáng đãng là hình ảnh những chiếc xe đạp công cộng được sơn màu vàng cam được người dân, đặc biệt là giới trẻ, rất ưa chuộng.
Đây là loại hình xe đạp công cộng mang tên Ubike được Chính phủ Đài Loan triển khai với mục đích giúp mọi người di chuyển giữa các địa điểm thuận tiện hơn đồng thời nâng cao việc rèn luyện sức khoẻ của người dân.
Việc triển khai loại hình xe đạp công cộng này bắt đầu từ tháng 3/2009. Lúc đầu số lượng xe chỉ có khoảng 500 chiếc phân bổ ra 11 điểm cho thuê. Đến năm 2016, toàn thành phố Đài Bắc đã có tổng cộng 258 điểm cho thuê với 8.518 chiếc xe đạp. Mỗi chiếc xe trung bình được sử dụng 6,65 lần/ngày, đạt tần suất sử dụng cao nhất thế giới.
Để thuê được xe đạp, người sử dụng có thể trả tiền qua thẻ ngân hàng hoặc đăng ký hội viên và trả qua thẻ thanh toán điện tử Easy Card (một loại thẻ nạp tiền để sử dụng các dịch vụ đi cao tốc, tàu điện ngầm, xe buýt).
