Ngày nay, với sự phát triển mạnh mẽ của các ngành kinh tế trong nước. Đặc biệt nước ta đang trong thời kỳ công nghiệp hóa, hiện đại hóa đất nước và ngày càng có nhiều khu công nghiệp, khu chế xuất... được xây dựng. Đồng thời để nâng cao mức sống, tiện nghi sinh hoạt của người dân thì việc xây dựng các khu chung cư mới để phục vụ nhu cầu cuộc sống là hết sức cần thiết. Vì vậy việc thiết kế hệ thống cung cấp điện cho các khu chung cư là một vấn đề đang được ngành điện quan tâm đúng mức, bởi vì mỗi đề tài thiết kế, mỗi nội dung tính toán đều vạch ra cho chúng ta những phương án, những hạn chế và những điểm mạnh của từng công trình. Trong đó nổi bật lên hai chỉ tiêu cơ bản là chỉ tiêu kinh tế và chỉ tiêu kỹ thuật.
* Về kinh tế:
- Tiết kiệm vốn đầu tư.
- Sử dụng ít nhất kim loại màu.
- Đảm bảo chi phí vận hành nhỏ nhất.
* Về kỹ thuật:
- Phải đảm bảo chất lượng điện năng.
- Cung cấp điện phải liên tục và an toàn.
- Phải linh hoạt dễ dàng trong vận hành và không gây nhầm lẫn khi sử dụng, khi sự cố.
- Phải chú ý điều kiện phát triển trong tương lai.
* Nội dung của đồ án tốt nghiệp này được xây dựng trên cơ sở chỉ tiêu kỹ thuật bao gồm các số liệu thực tế của khu nhà chung cư CT-06 của khu đô thị Văn Khuê -Thị xã Hà Đông, thành phố Hà Nội
Để quá trình thiết kế tính toán và trình bày trình tự chặt chẽ về nội dung ta chia ra các chương như sau:
