Thống kê của Bệnh viện Phụ sản Trung ương cho thấy, trong hơn 5.000 ca nạo phá thai mỗi năm có tới 30% thai phụ dưới 24 tuổi. Tại Bệnh viện Phụ sản Hà Nội, số phụ nữ dưới 20 tuổi nạo phá thai chiếm khoảng 18%
