Việt Nam nhập khẩu nhóm hàng này chủ yếu từ Trung Quốc với kim ngạch 1,55 tỉ đô la Mỹ, tăng 26,4% so với cùng kỳ năm trước.
Ngoài ra, tham RCEP còn làm tăng cường hợp tác kỹ thuật và vị thế của Việt Nam trong giải quyết tranh chấp về thương mại và đầu tư. Không chỉ có vậy, khu vực sẽ có được môi trường kinh doanh thân thiện với chi phí giao dịch rẻ hơn nhờ vào sự hài hòa giữa các quy định hiện hành trong khuôn khổ các FTA khác nhau của ASEAN.
