Trong xu hướng nền kinh tế hội nhập như hiện nay, ngoài kiến thức chuyên môn cần thiết thì đi kèm theo đó là khả năng ngoại ngữ tốt. Nhưng thực trạng sinh viên hiện nay, không phải ai cũng giỏi ngoại ngữ. Và đặc biệt khi tiếng Anh đã trở thành một ngôn ngữ chung của thế giới thì việc học ngoại ngữ càng quan trọng hơn. Người mới bắt đầu học ngoại ngữ luôn luôn gặp khó khăn ngay từ đầu . Đối với tôi, tôi đã phải vượt qua những vấn đề này khi tôi bắt đầu học tiếng Anh. Tiếng Anh là một ngôn ngữ không được thường xuyên sử dụng để giao tiếp trong cuộc sống hàng ngày của người Việt, vì vậy mà những ngày đầu tiên khi học ngôn ngữ này tôi thường cảm thấy khá bỡ ngỡ bởi những khác biệt của tiếng Anh so với tiếng Việt, học tiếng anh gặp khó khăn trong việc nhớ quá nhiều từ mới, không thể ghi nhớ được những từ đó, băn khoăn bởi vốn từ vựng ít ỏi sẽ khiến tôi gặp nhiều khó khăn trong giao tiếp Khó khăn trong việc nghe tiếng anh là một thực trạng khó tránh khỏi đối với những người đang học tiếng anh bởi chúng ta luôn phàn nàn là chúng ta gặp rất nhiều khó khăn trong việc nghe tiếng anh. Đơn giản là chúng ta phát âm chưa đúng từ tiếng anh nên chúng ta sẽ gặp khó khăn trong việc nghe, thậm chí là không thể nghe được gì. Khó khăn trong việc phát âm tiếng anh kỹ năng phát âm đòi hỏi ở mỗi người sự kiên trì thì mới có thể nói chuẩn theo giọng điệu hay ngữ điệu của người bản xứ. Một vấn đề tất nhiên đó là bạn không thể chỉ một lần mà có thể phát âm đúng các từ tiếng anh. Khó khăn trong việc kiên trì học tiếng anh nếu người học không chăm chỉ học thì kết quả học sẽ không bao giờ được cải thiện.
Để có thể học tiếng anh tốt hơn chung ta thường nghe băng và nhắc lại chúng, cố gắng bắt chước họ, cố gắng làm nhiều bài tập ngữ pháp càng tốt và đọc sách ngữ pháp khác nhau.
