Sau VPSF, Hội DNT VN có kế hoạch triển khai những nộii dung được nêu ra tại VPSF 2016 nhằm hỗ trợ doanh nghiệp Việt Nam có thể phát triển nhanh và bền vững hơn. Các hoạt động giữa kỳ là nội dung, phiên họp thường niên là sự phản ánh nội dung đó. Để đi đến diễn đàn thường niên, cần tổ chức các hoạt động tổng hợp vấn đề chuyên môn theo chuyên đề từ dưới lên, đồng thời thông qua mạng lưới của Diễn đàn phổ biến kết quả tham vấn, đối thoại cùng nội dung hợp tác quốc tế từ trên xuống để doanh nghiệp áp dụng và thực thi, kể cả thực thi chính sách có trách nhiệm hơn.
