Những đặc điểm liên quan đến chất lượng GVTH người DTTS: Hiện tại, về cơ bản GVTH người DTTS đạt chuẩn đào tạo theo cấp học, cho nên có thể khẳng định họ là đội ngũ trí thức người DTTS. Là người DTTS có kiến thức nên họ có hiểu biết về phong tục tập quán, truyền thống, văn hóa không chỉ của DT mình và của các DT khác trong cộng đồng các dân tộc Việt Nam (đa văn hóa). Sự hiểu biết này, giúp ích cho họ rất nhiều trong công tác và trong dạy học. Tuy nhiên, sự chênh lệch về kiến thức và năng lực đầu vào (đào tạo) và đầu ra (sau đào tạo trở thành GV) của GVTH người DTTS là rất khác nhau, sẽ là những thách thức đối với chất lượng GV giữa chuẩn đào tạo nhưng mẫu thuẫn với thực lực của chuẩn nghề nghiệp GV
