Công ty cần áp dụng một số biện pháp nhằm kiểm soát giá vốn hàng bán của công ty. Trong khâu mua hàng công ty cần tham khảo giá cả thị trường để tìm thêm những nguồn cung cấp khác có chất lượng tương tự mà giá rẻ hơn. Trong khâu sản xuất, công ty phải thường xuyên giám sát quá trình sản xuất sản phẩm, hạn chế việc lãng phí nguyên vật liệu, xây dựng chính sách lương bổng thích hợp cho đội ngũ công nhân để họ làm việc năng suất hơn, tạo ra nhiều sản phẩm có chất lượng, giảm thiểu những sản phẩm kém chất lượng. Đồng thời công ty phải giảm các chi phí mua ngoài, chi phí khác bằng tiền không cần thiết trong chi phí sản xuất chung,như vậy thì công ty mới giảm được giá thành đơn vị sản phẩm, giảm được giá vốn hàng bán đang cao như hiện nay
