Trong số 50 nước thuộc diện nghiên cứu, VN, TQ và Tây Ban Nha có tốc độ phục hồi rừng nhanh nhất thế giới, trong khi Nigeria và Philippines là hai nước có tỷ lệ rừng bị "biến mất" nhiều nhất. Nghiên cứu cũng cho thấy diện tích rừng tiếp tục giảm mạnh và nhanh tại Indonesia và Brazil, trong khi lại tăng ở Mỹ và Trung Quốc.

Nhóm tác giả của công trình nghiên cứu trên cho biết các chính sách trồng cây gây rừng, tăng diện tích đất nông nghiệp (dựa vào biện pháp thâm canh) và làn sóng di cư từ nông thôn ra thành phố là những yếu tố góp phần làm tăng nguồn vốn đầu tư cho rừng trong suốt 15 năm qua tại 22 nước trong tổng số 50 nước có diện tích rừng lớn.

Among the 50 countries in the study, VN, TQ and Spain had the fastest forest recovery speed in the world, while Nigeria and Philippines are the two countries the forest being "disappeared". The study also found that forest cover continues to decrease sharply and quickly in Indonesia and Brazil, while falling in the us and China.The Group of authors of the research said the tree-planting policy cause increase of forest, an area of agricultural land (based on intensive measures) and the wave of migration from the countryside to the city are factors contributing to increase investment capital for the forest during the last 15 years in 22 countries in total 50 countries with large forest area.
