Honda đã áp dụng hệ thống phun điện nhiện liệu điện tử đang được trang bị trên ô tô lên xe gắn máy, bắt đầu từ những chiếc mô tô cỡ lớn nhiều xi-lanh. Hệ thống phun nhiên liệu điện tử hoạt động dựa trên nguyên lý cung cấp nhiên liệu cho động cơ thông qua sự kiểm soát chặt chẽ của hệ thống máy tính. Nhờ đó, có thể kiểm soát được lượng nhiên liệu cung cấp một cách lý tưởng hơn nhiều so với hệ thống chế hoà khí thông thường. Tại Việt Nam, với khẩu hiệu “Leading the Technology”, vào tháng 4/2007 Honda Việt Nam (HVN) đã trởthành nhà sản xuất đầu tiên tại Việt Nam trang bị công nghệ phun xăng điện tử (PGM-FI) cho mẫu xe Future Neo FI và dự định sẽ tiếp tục áp dụng rộng rãi hơn nữa trong tương lai.
