Kim ngạch XK mực, bạch tuộc quý IV/2016 dự kiến đạt 122 triệu USD, tăng 5% so với cùng kỳ. Kim ngạch XK năm 2016 dự kiến đạt 420 triệu USD, giảm 2% so với năm 2015. Với những khó khăn kể trên, đặc biệt là “sự cố Formosa” thì XK cả năm 2016 khó có thể tăng trưởng dương do thiếu hụt một phần đáng kể nguồn nguyên liệu cho các nhà máy chế biến. XK sang cả 3 thị trường trọng điểm là Hàn Quốc, Nhật Bản, EU đều giảm nhẹ trong khi XK sang Asean giảm mạnh hơn so với 3 thị trường lớn.
