Định hướng hệ thống thông tin ở Việt Nam
Việc xây dựng hệ thống thông tin đất đai nằm trong lộ trình hiện đại hóa công tác quản lý đất đai theo từng giai đoạn, cụ thể: Giai đoạn 2015 - 2016 sẽ tập trung hoàn thiện môi trường nền tảng về xây dựng cơ sở dữ liệu và chiến lược phát triển hệ thống thông tin đất đai.
Giai đoạn 2017 - 2018, giai đoạn xây dựng và hoàn thiện các công cụ để vận hành hệ thống giao dịch điện tử trên cơ sở điện tử hóa nghiệp vụ hành chính đất đai.
Giai đoạn 2018 - 2020, sẽ vận hành ổn định hệ thống thông tin đất đai trên phạm vi toàn quốc nhằm nâng cao khả năng khai thác, chia sẻ và cung cấp thông tin đất đai.
Đến năm 2030, phát triển hạ tầng thông tin không gian quốc gia hiện đại, đạt trình độ của các nước phát triển trong khu vực hệ thống cơ sở dữ liệu đất đai.
