A.5. Phương pháp tiếp cận người cao tuổi
Tiến trình trợ giúp người cao tuổi là một chuỗi các hoạt động tương tác giữa nhân viên xã hội với người cao tuổi để cùng họ giải quyết vấn đề. Trong quá trình này, nhân viên xã hội dùng chính các quan điểm chính trị, kiến thức, kinh nghiệm, kỹ năng của mình để tham gia vào việc giải quyết các vấn đề của đối tượng và với hỗ trợ đó, đối tượng cũng đã huy động hết khả năng, sức lực của mình để giải quyết những khó khăn đang mắc phải. Như vậy tiến trình trợ giúp người cao tuổi là hoạt động mà trong đó bao gồm các bước chính như: Tiếp cận người cao tuổi, xác định vấn đề, thu thập dữ liệu, chẩn đoán, lên kế hoạch trợ giúp, đánh giá. Các bước này có thể nối tiếp nhau nghĩa là kết thúc bước này thì mới được chuyển sang bước khác, song cũng có thể đan xen giữa các bước dựa trên kết quả hoạt động đánh giá.

So the process help the elderly is that activities which include the main steps as: approach, identify problems, collect data, diagnosis, planning help, reviews. The successive steps can literally end this step shall be transferred to the other steps, but may also be interlaced between the steps based on the results of operations reviews.

Progress elderly assistance is a series of interactive activities between social workers with elderly people with them to solve the problem. In this process, the social workers used political views, knowledge, experience, their skills to participate in solving the problems of the object, and with support, the object has mobilization of all abilities, my strength to solve the difficulties are experiencing. Such processes are elderly assistance activities which include the main steps: Access the elderly, problem identification, data collection, diagnosis, planning assistance and evaluation. These steps can be connected to each other means the end of this step by step before being transferred to another, but also can mix between the steps based on the assessment results.
