Letters of Credit (Letter of Credit - abbreviated as L / C) is a payment commitments conditional written by a financial institution (usually a bank) for the beneficiary of L / C (information usually the sellers or service providers) provided that the beneficiary must produce the documents conform with all the terms specified in the L / C, in accordance with the Code of Practice agreed on Documentary Credits (UCP) referred to in the letter of credit and in accordance with banking practices to international standards for checking documents in documentary credit method (ISBP).
