Đầu tiên tôi sẽ bắt đầu với những trải nghiệm của tôi với tuần hướng nghiệp và chương trình hướng nghiệp cho ngành du lịch. Giống với những mong đợi của tôi khi bắt đầu lập kế hoạch dư thi kì thi đầu vào của Phần Lan, tôi được tiếp xúc với môi trường học tập hoàn toàn mới. Tôi đã trải qua 4 năm học đại học ở Việt Nam, quê nhà của tôi. Và tôi nghĩ điều đó có thể cho tôi một chút kinh nghiệm khi học tập ở đây. Điều làm tôi ấn tượng khi học tập ở đây là chúng tôi được đi tiếp xúc với môi trường công việc thực tế ngay từ thời gian đầu của khóa học, chúng tôi được đi thăm một trong những khách sạn 4 sao nổi tiếng ở Lapland, khách sạn …. Khác với chương trình học về du lịch nói riêng và những ngành học khác nói chung ở Việt Nam, chúng tôi tiếp xúc nhiều hơn với lí thuyết và khái niệm, và chỉ được tiếp xúc với môi trường làm việc thực tế thông qua những công việc làm thêm, hay chỉ được đi thực tập công việc ở thời điểm cuối của khóa học. Một trong những lí do cho việc đó, có lẽ là do sự khác biệt về hệ thống giáo dục của Việt Nam và Phần Lan. Ở Việt Nam, không có những trương đại học ứng dụng với chương trình học thiên về môi trường làm việc thực tiễn và mang tính ứng dụng cao. Mục đích của trường đại học ứng dụng là đào tạo lực lượng lao động dồi dào và đa dạng cho nhiều môi trường làm việc và thị trường lao động. Phần lớn những trường đại học ở Việt Nam là trường đại học, những trường đại học đào tạo sinh viên thiên về lý thuyết và nghiên cứu. Và những sinh viên ở trường đại học chỉ có thể tiếp xúc với môi trường làm việc thực tiễn ở thời điểm cuối sau 4 hay 5 năm học. Bản thân tôi đã trải qua 4 năm học đại học ở Việt Nam, chuyên ngành của tôi là Bachelor of Thai Language ở trường đại học ngoại ngữ Đà Nẵng. Và chỉ khi ở kỳ thứ hai của năm bốn, tôi được thực tập tại công ty Thái Lan ở Việt Nam. Trước đó trong suốt quá trình học, những kinh nghiệm mà tôi tích lũy được là từ những công việc làm thêm và làm phiên dịch cho những nhóm du khách Thái Lan đi du lịch ở Việt Nam. Việc thiếu hụt kinh nghiệm làm việc thực tiễn sau khi ra trường của phần lớn sinh viên Việt Nam là một trong những lí do khiến cho tỉ lệ thất nghiệp của sinh viên mới ra trường ở Việt Nam luôn cao. (Con số lên đến 162000 sinh viên vào năm 2014). Và mô hình đào tạo việc làm như UAS chỉ xuất hiện ở những trường dạy nghề ở Việt Nam.

First I will start with my experiences with career week and vocational programs for the tourism industry. Just like with my expectations when it began planning the residual input exam examination of Finland, I was exposed to a new learning environment. I have spent 4 years at University in my home country, Vietnam. And I think that could give me a bit of experience when learning here. What impressed me when learning here is that we are going into contact with the actual work environment right from the first time of course, we are going to visit one of the famous 4-star hotel in Lapland, the hotel .... Different travel programs in particular and other disciplines in General in Vietnam, us more exposure with the concept and theory, and was exposed to the actual working environment through the work done more, or just be going to work at the end of the course. One of the reasons for that, is probably due to the differences in the educational systems of Vietnam and Finland. In Vietnam, there is no such University programs with application of the working environment and practices to bring the high applicability. The purpose of the application is the University training of the labour force is abundant and varied for many of the working environment and the labour market. Most of the universities in Vietnam's universities, the universities train students of theory and research. And the students at the University can only contact with practical working environment at the last moment after 4 or 5 years of study. I myself have spent 4 years at University in Vietnam, my majors is Bachelor of Thai Language in foreign languages Da Nang University. And only if in the second period of four years, I was in the company of Thailand in Vietnam. Earlier during the learning process, the experience which I accumulated is from the employment and doing translation for the groups of tourists Thailand travel in Vietnam. The lack of practical work experience after school most students of Vietnam is one of the reasons for the unemployment rate of University students in Vietnam are always high. (The figure up to 162000 students in 2014). And job training model as UAS appear only in the vocational schools in Vietnam.
