M&A tại Việt Nam đang phát triển nhanh chóng cả về số lượng và quy mô. Báo cáo của AVM Việt Nam cho biết, hoạt động M&A (mua bán - sáp nhập) tại Việt Nam tăng trưởng gấp 5 lần kể từ năm 2009, từ 1,08 tỷ USD lên mức kỷ lục mới 5,1 tỷ USD trong năm 2012, tuy năm 2013 chưa có số liệu chính thức nhưng được dự báo là không đạt được mức kỉ lục như năm 2012 nhưng đã xuất hiện nhiều thương vụ khủng, có giá trị lớn.
