Chị Võ Thị Sáu tên thật là Nguyễn Thị Sáu, sống ở xã Phước Thọ, quận Đất Đỏ, tỉnh Bà Rịa nay thuộc xã Phước Thọ, huyện Đất Đỏ,tỉnh Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu.
