Xuất phát từ thực tế và sự nhận thức về tầm quan trọng của tái cấu trúc hệ thống NHTM và nguyện vọng được đóng góp các giải pháp hữu ích cho quá trình tái cơ cấu ở nước ta, nhóm nghiên cứu quyết định chọn đề tài “Thực trạng tái cơ cấu hệ thống NHTM Việt Nam giai đoạn 2011-2015 và một số khuyến nghị” nhằm đưa ra những phân tích, tổng quát lý thuyết và đánh giá được thực trạng của tiến trình tái cơ cấu ở Việt Nam để từ đó có các khuyến nghị, giải pháp phù hợp.
