Theo tin từ Bộ Ngoại giao, ngày 24/9 vừa qua, thay mặt Chính phủ Việt Nam, Phó Thủ tướng, Bộ trưởng Bộ Ngoại giao Phạm Bình Minh đã phát biểu tham luận tại Phiên Thảo luận cấp cao Khóa họp 71 Đại hội đồng LHQ (New York, Hoa Kỳ), nêu bật thông điệp của Việt Nam kêu gọi “tăng cường chủ nghĩa đa phương, tuân thủ luật pháp quốc tế vì hòa bình, hợp tác và phát triển bền vững"; chia sẻ lập trường, quan tâm và đóng góp của Việt Nam về các vấn đề quốc tế và khu vực nổi cộm hiện nay.

Về tình hình thế giới, Phó Thủ tướng Phạm Bình Minh nhấn mạnh xu thế cải cách, đổi mới sáng tạo, tái cơ cấu nền kinh tế tại nhiều quốc gia và quá trình quốc tế hóa đang tạo ra các cơ hội lớn nhằm thúc đẩy hợp tác, liên kết khu vực và toàn cầu. Việc LHQ thông qua trong năm 2015 Chương trình nghị sự 2030 về Phát triển bền vững, Chương trình hành động Addis Ababa về Tài chính cho Phát triển, Thỏa thuận Pa-ri về Biến đổi khí hậu và Khung hành động Sen-đai về giảm rủi ro thiên tai không chỉ nhằm giải quyết và ứng phó với các thách thức trước mắt mà còn tạo động lực mới cho các mối quan hệ đối tác thực chất, hiệu quả, tạo cơ sở bền vững hơn cho hòa bình và thịnh vượng chung.
